Last entry for Melbourne! Last day was really just a trip down to see the steam engines and then rushing off to the airport to catch the flight back.

As someone pointed out to me kindly on buzz- this is not Thomas, it's Percy (I used to watch Bob the Builder and Thomas, but it's many years ago...)

First up, before we check out of the service apartment, it looks a little like this.

We used the microwave to make instant noodles and fishballs on quite a few mornings.

Here we are! Puffing Billy's.

Train conductor that seem to have come straight out of a storybook.

That was actually pretty scary, the tracks were so narrow and it's going around in a bend.

Passed some cows along the way...

Some men chopping a mountain of wood... they look blurry because the train was going pretty fast and well... my camera sucks.

We stopped at the peak and got off to take a walk around before taking the train back. Met some ferrets, they are the cutest things ever.

Fat bottom and small head with a stumpy tail.. aww...

His name is Fudge.

And this is Papa Ferret "Bear", who walked 2km that morning and is rather tired.

Last photo. I think I was a little too excited about them and took endless photos.

It was really cold that morning and we didn't have a proper lunch/breakfast, so we got some pies up there. Ms Macquarie's Cheese Bacon and Beef pie =D it was so good, and at $3.50, it wasn't too bad for a tourist attraction area.

It's sad that pie might be the only food photo I have because that day was such a touristy trip... and the friends I went with on this trip is more interested in nature than food =( not saying nature isn't good, but I'm a total noob when it comes to taking nature shots. It's virtually impossible with my dodgy canon camera anyway, and no tripod.

Blue bird?

Blue bird being a narcissist.

Don't tell me- saturation too high, right?

This thing ran out in front of us, carrying in its beak a cream bun stolen from a pile of bags it was rummaging through. Long legs!

There was a black steam engine too. Are any of Thomas' friends black? =P

That concludes Melbourne! I feel kind of sad that there's only one food picture in this post... a pie in a paper bag, no less...

Generic as this may look, it was actually not bad. This was at Zenya, Eastwood.

I love taking photos of gooey eggs, except not many ramen places do it well enough to look good in photos.

Side dish takoyaki.

Gyoza -1, there were originally 3 on the plate I think.
Shall be updates of more recent days next entry! =D Yayyy... Sugar Hit and more~ (after I finish my clinical report!)

How's Zenya's takoyakis? So far the best is still Kura's, small, crispy and non-mayonaisey...
Hmmmm, but Eastwood's too far now...
Ohh... I haven't had takoyaki in Kura for a long long time. Zenya was OK, not really very memorable when it comes to takoyaki...
Menya at Haymarket does it pretty well from what I can remember, or else just get it freshly made during the Friday night markets. But then that one is hard to predict- sometimes it's SO good because it's all fresh and nicely done, but then at other times, it's a rushed job and you get uncooked takoyaki =(
